Sanibel Island Lighthouse
The Sanibel Island Lighthouse, also known as Point Ybel Light, stands as an iconic beacon on the eastern tip of Sanibel Island. Commissioned in 1884, this iron-skeletal tower was erected to ensure safe passage for ships navigating the perilous waters near the island. Over the years, it has withstood the test of time, serving not only as a navigational aid but also as a symbol of Sanibel’s rich maritime history.
Sadly, the lighthouse suffered damage during Hurricane Ian. All Trades is currently bringing its skilled experts in restoration and engineering to restore this historical treasure back to its original condition. Getting this lighthouse back to being the must-be stop on your South Florida adventures is one of our top priorities.
